World peace, one person at a time
“I believe that we can all contribute to world peace. Scientific research in the effectiveness of the TM technique proved consecutively that if the square root of 1% of any population is peaceful and happy and feels fulfilled in their lives, that tiny percentage of the population is enough to influence the others and cause a measurable decline in violent crimes and motor accidents. The methods I use have helped me to overcome my stutter, IBS, and depression. Wellness practitioners like myself can help one person at a time and increase the level of happiness in each person, and this will have an extremely positive influence on a personal, environmental, and global scale, as it will encouraging more people to find their happiness instead of staying trapped in the cycle of violence and unhappiness.”
Andy Wilding is a radio presenter on FMR, committee member of FOM, and motivational speaker. He is also a Counseling Hypnotherapist (HMI C.Ht) practicing in Diep River Cape Town as of August 2015.
Andy studied piano and guitar from an early age and initially trained as a sculptor, completing his BA Fine Arts at UCT in 1999. During his stay in London from 2004 to 2007, he worked at Ronin Corporation (marketing) while studying psychology and hypnotherapy, and later qualified in 2009 from California’s Hypnosis Motivation Institute (HMI).
In Durban 2010 he opened a hypnotherapy practice in which he integrated his study of psychoacoustics (the ability for certain sound frequencies to have a desired effect on brain activity) and neuro-linguistics (the precise semantics required for a positive suggestion to seem plausible) to help his clients achieve calmness and motivation. During this time Andy became familiar with various methods of internet marketing through promoting his private practice.
In 2014 he returned to Cape Town and Fine Music Radio and began reviewing and promoting classical events on social media to generate further interest in classical music. He was invited to join the FOM in which his primary role as a member of the committee is marketing.
